Dread Gulch

As the Earth Labyrinth is sullen, we reassessed its joint overworld area—previously known as Lake Hylia, welcome the Dread Gulch. No worries though! For those of you fond of a more serene lake environment, we’ve got you covered. However, we’re not going to reveal everything, so instead, here’s a screenshot of a pretty familiar part of the map.

Dread Gulch 2

Hopefully you enjoy the widescreen effect, it definitely gives a better view of the map. Keep checking the blog for more updates like this in the future as we near Patch 1.0!

  1. Greetings! There is a possibility of this wonderful project be realized in the form of physical cartridge for sale? Since giving, thank you

  2. Heya! Just wanted to say I love the project and you guys are doing amazing work! If you ever feel discouraged please know that us fans are here, full of love and support!

I made a version of the Title Theme for OoT, and although it was a sound test I wanted to dedicate it to you guys! Keep having fun guys, looking forward to all your hard work!

  3. I just saw this today. And this looks amazing! Keep up the good work devs! Can’t wait till the day the public gets to try it!

  4. Seriously guys I cant even begin to tell you how incredibly excited I am for this project. You guys are doing an incredible thing and it’s people like you that make the zelda fan base the best and most incredible fan base in all of gaming. I don’t know about anyone else but I can’t think of any other game fan base that is willing to put all the time and excruciating effort into completely rebuilding one of their favorite games music and all to for a fresh breath at one of the favorite games from the franchise..zelda is the only one I can think of. I love you guys, and I really hope that all your hard work can pay off by way of all the praise you guys deserve from people who get to play this amazing game you guys are building.

  5. Hey guys! Just dropping in to say that I was replaying Ocarina of Time again today and thought of this project. I love the screenshot, and I cant wait to see more!! I really hope this project is finished. I will go buy a joystick for my computer just to play this! 😀 If, for some reason, the team does need to disband is it possible to make sure a sandbox version is released so fans can enjoy and all your amazing work doesn’t go unappreciated? I hope it doesn’t come to that, because this is the most amazing 3rd quest project I have ever seen, but figured I would mention it.

Anyway, can’t wait for patch 1! Keep on going! And hey, a little screenshot just to let us know you guys are still out there would be awesome. 🙂

    • I actually bought a USB N64 controller just to test out the maps as we develop them– it’s definitely a good investment! About the sandbox maps, that’s actually our plan if we have to stop development. Also, regarding screenshots, we have some things to show, but we’ve mostly been working on optimizing maps and giving some things makeovers (including a total redesign of the first dungeon). I hope you’re looking forward to it!

  6. Greetings guys I hope all of you are doing a great job on this project & Im curious to know if someone were to revive the fallen Ura Project?

  7. Hey guys!

Just wanted to say I just found out about this project surfing the web. Reading previous comments, I see that you cannot play this on an everdrive. Is that still the same? If so, us retro gamers would love the opportunity to play it on an N64 at our homes. Look forward to see where you guys go next with this beautiful game!
